Four fire crews fought a garage blaze in Argoed for two and a half hours last night, November 3.
The fire service were called to Rock Villas just before 6pm and the four crews from Aberbargoed put the blaze out by 7.30pm.
The domestic garage is to be inspected this morning to ensure its safety, a spokesperson for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said.
In a busy night firefighers were also called when a stolen car was set alight deliberately in Fochriw just before 10pm.
Gwent Police are investigating the incident.
On a lighter note, firefighters were left hungry when smoke from a bakery oven in Cefn Fforest was mistaken for a fire.
Crews used fans to disperse the excessive smoke at around 10.40pm.
