Caerphilly and Islwyn MPs back union Usdaw’s call for respect to shopworkers

News | | Published: 14:00, Thursday November 13th, 2014.

Caerphilly MP Wayne David and Islwyn MP Chris Evans have backed a union campaign calling for consumers to give shopworkers more respect.

The Labour politicians have voiced their support for retail union Usdaw’s ‘Freedom From Fear’ campaign, which seeks to prevent violence, threats and abuse directed at retail staff.

Mr David said: “Too often retail employees are confronted with violence, threats and abuse and it is really important we stand together and ask people to respect shopworkers.”

I am saddened to see there is a campaign of sort for this. Any person who has properly been raised by their parents already show adequate respect. If someone is rude I blame it on bad parenting and bad schooling – “manners maketh man”
