Children at Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Caerfilli took part in a Children in Need assembly after winning a nationwide competition.

The assembly saw entertainers, a DJ, and games break the strict silence of a normal school day morning.

It also featured a pupil-led talent show, a teacher’s fancy dress fashion parade and lots of dancing, plus Children in Need mascot Pudsey Bear.

The idea was to celebrate the achievements of children who have been fundraising to help disadvantaged children across the UK.

Headteacher Lynn Griffiths said: “We’ve always supported Children in Need through school fundraising and the children really get behind the activities. The children have had a fantastic time planning this wonderful event.”
