More than half of the electric blankets tested at a recent safety event were found to be faulty.
Organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Trading Standards, last month’s event at the Centre for Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach saw 26 blankets tested, with 15 being found faulty.
The unsafe blankets were decommissioned and donated to a local animal charity.
