Argoed cannibal killer Matthew Williams’ cause of death unknown

Matthew Williams died in police custody

The cause of death of Argoed cannibal killer Matthew Williams is still unkown, an inquest heard yesterday, December 4.

Williams, 34, killed 22-year-old Cerys Marie Yemm, from Blackwood, at the Sirhowy Arms on November 6.

Ms Yemm died of  “sharp force trauma to the face and neck”, an inquest into her death heard last month.

Williams was shot by police with a taser and died later in custody.

The inquest was opened in Newport and closed until toxicology results on Williams’ body are known.
