More than £850,000 from the Welsh Government will be spent on childcare facilities in Caerphilly County Borough.
A new childcare and multi-agency centre in Blackwood will be developed, costing £355,750, while £500,000 will go towards developing childcare at Plas-y-Felin Primary School and to develop much-needed Welsh medium places in the Caerphilly basin area.
The cash is part of £6.9 million funding for Flying Start, a Welsh Government programme to develop relationships between children and parents in more deprived areas of the country.
