Gwent Police has issued these CCTV images following a break-in at Blackwood Working Men’s Club, on Woodbine Road, in December last year.

The break-in happened at about 11.40pm on Sunday December 28 and a substantial amount of money was stolen.

CCTV in the club took an image of the burglar, who was wearing a blue hooded top which covered his face the entire time.

Officers have also searched other CCTV footage and identified a man who was in the local area around the same time and may be able to help them with their inquiries.

Police said he may have witnessed the incident or saw the burglar. The man walked through the town centre, before walking up Woodbine Road towards the club.

Anyone with information can call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log number 12 29/12/14 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
