Caerphilly-based housing association United Welsh has been shortlisted for the UK Housing Awards 2015.
The awards, which recognise outstanding work by housing organisations, are organised by the Chartered Institute of Housing and Inside Housing magazine.
United Welsh, in partnership with Celtic Horizons and Mears, is now one of seven left in the running for the maintaining high quality homes category.
The winners will be announced on April 21. This year’s awards attracted more than 250 entries from all over the UK.
Would be interesting to see who actually decides who gets these awards.
They mean nothing of course to the public, they are sycophantic, meaningless `kite` marks, which can be measured by the level of hat doffing of movers and shakers they slap the backs of, using public money to grease the slippery pole they all dance around.
Use your public money to provided effordable housing, not for glorified edifices and private development sites in our borough. These are the things that have to be measured. and probably will be, at some point.
