A Pentwynmawr man is running two ultra-marathons to raise money for a heart charity for young people.
Kenneth Roberts, 40, is raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young in memory of Jack Thomas, who died of an undiagnosed heart problem aged 15.
Mr Roberts will take part in the 40 mile Born to Run ultra marathon in Llanelli on March 28 before taking on the Run, Crawl, Walk marathon on May 24.
The Run, Crawl, Walk ultra marathon from Brecon to Nantgarw Park is 42 miles – the longest run he will have done so far.
Mr Roberts said: “I’ve been running for a couple of years and I’ve done various marathons.
“My partner and family said why don’t I do it for charity. I’ve distributed sponsorship forms to workmates, family and in the pubs and people are digging deep.
