Burst main leaves properties in Caerphilly without water

Houses and businesses in Caerphilly have been left without water due to a burst water main.

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water have been attempting to prepare the damage and return the supply today, May 14.

On Twitter they said they are hoping to have fixed the problem by early evening.

A spokesperson said: “We are dealing with a burst main in the Caerphilly area which was caused by third party damage to our network.

“We have a team on site dealing with the situation and are carrying out the necessary repair work.

“We anticipate that supplies should begin returning to normal early this evening.

“We assure customers we are working as quickly as possible to complete the repair and would like to thank them for their patience.”
