Pupils at Ysgol Gymraeg Caerffili recently held a fun day for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and raised £270.
The children created their own games for the younger pupils to play and they also had face painting and other activities going on throughout the afternoon.
Headteacher Lynn Griffiths said: “Pupils and staff know of family and friends that have had leukaemia and have directly benefited from the improvements in care due to research in this field.
“We also want to encourage our pupils to think of others and understand the importance in giving to and supporting children and adults who are less fortunate than ourselves.”
