Staff from British Gas have donated new bikes to a leading charity in Caerphilly which supports young carers.
Young people from the Barnardo’s Caerphilly Young Carers Service were presented with the bikes by staff from the British Gas contact centre in Cardiff, who built the bikes as part of a team building challenge.
The Caerphilly Young Carers Service provides the support children and young people need to make the most of their childhood and to build a secure future as they cope with the pressures of their home circumstances and their caring role.
Gillian Cleaton, Barnardo’s Team Manager, said: “The bikes will be put to good use in our summer activities and British Gas’s generosity will help put a smile on a lot of faces. It really is a big boost to these children.”
