Two 24-hour dispersal order have been issued for Caerphilly and Penyrheol, starting at 5pm today, June 12.
The orders mean police officers and community support officers can disperse people from an area if they are causing anti-social behaviour and can arrest them if they return.
The areas affected by the first order are Heol Aneurin in Penyrheol, in the vicinity of Top Stores and the Fish Bar and a 400 metre radius of this location (including, all streets, alleyways and thoroughfares).
The second order covers Druids Close, Fffordd, Penrhos, Knight’s Walk, Skomer Island Way, Skomer Way, Area known as Castle View Shopping Centre, Cae Meillion and all footways, highways, playing fields, playgrounds and land abutting any of the above locations.
The orders run until 5pm on Sunday June 14.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “Last weekend, three dispersal orders were in place across Caerphilly.
“Officers received one call for anti-social behaviour over the weekend and two youths were taken home after making hoax 999 calls in a phone box. Police spoke with parents and the dispersal orders were issued.
“Officers will be patrolling the areas regularly to enforce the dispersal orders and to prevent incidents of anti-social behaviour.”
