Online guide launched for things to do in Caerphilly County Borough during summer holidays

News | | Published: 15:00, Friday July 10th, 2015.

The Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations (GAVO) has produced an online summer guide of events taking place during the summer holidays.

Working with Caerphilly County Borough Council, the guide is aimed at promoting events, activities and things to do for children, young people and families within Caerphilly County Borough.

Designed by GAVO Caerphilly Holiday Scheme Coordinator, Darren James Williams, the summer guide goes live today, July 10 at www.gavowales.org.uk/summer2015.

Hard copies of the guide, aimed at children aged eight to 14, have also been sent to schools across the county borough.

Mr Williams said: “By providing Summer Guide 2015 as an online database of activities and events, we are able to ensure that the webpage is updated and relevant.

“In addition we were very pleased to have received sponsorship from Western Power

Distribution to have the marketing materials created and send them our sincere thanks for their generosity.”

GAVO is an umbrella organisation that supports the voluntary sector across Gwent.
