A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Bargoed on Sunday evening.
A Bargoed man, 40, was stabbed on Sunday August 2 on Park View, following an incident between two men.
He received a single stab wound and remains in a stable condition at Prince Charles hospital in Merthyr Tydfil.
Gwilym Edwards, 25, was remanded in custody after appearing at Newport Crown Court today, August 4.
Edwards, of Cwmfelinfach, is also charged with assault by beating and making threats to kill.
A 25-year-old man from Bargoed, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
