Caerphilly council to check election registration

News | | Published: 09:00, Wednesday August 12th, 2015.

Residents across Caerphilly County Borough can expect to receive a letter from Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Electoral Services team over the coming days, as part of the council’s annual registration process.

By law, every household must respond to this form, even if the details are correct, and anybody who does not will receive a visit from a council inspector.

This might be interesting, perhaps the loopholes exploited in other parts of the country will be easy to spot.

It is a process followed every year, so, would`nt any loopholes have been spotted and highlighted already, here in Caerphilly? unless of course you may be talking about the postal voting process which can, if not regulated closely, result in abuse.

One senior Plaid Cymru Councillor has also posted on the internet how manipulation of the system can be used to the advantage of a candidate in the Count. In fact, he gives a running commenary of how to do so, or at least how to spot it happening and depending on which side you sit on, how to spot it and recfify it..

Loopholes have to be recognised, and being expoited, before they become easy to spot. Is it being suggested that such manipulation of the democratic processes are alive and kicking in the Caerphilly Constiruency?. Is it being suggested that the duly appojnted returning officers, who have total and complete control of the election processes in constituencies are allowing illagal activity to abound in order for people to become elected and represent the citizens of the Borough?, if it is so suggsted it may answer the question why so many elected people tread water betweren election and not undertake the duties of the posts to which they were elected, and metomorph into voting fodder. Most of course do not and represent all citizens to an equal regree.
