Cefn Fforest pupil’s logo is winning design for community centre

News | | Published: 11:00, Friday August 14th, 2015.

A pupil from Cefn Fforest Primary School has had her design chosen for a new logo for the local community centre.

Vanessa Wojcicka won the competition after around 150 pupils submitted logo designs.

A judging panel had a tough task to shortlist just 12 designs, all of which were displayed in the centre for a week and open to public ballot.

Following the vote, Blackwood Town Council’s Deputy Mayor Cllr Bill Baber attended a special assembly and presented all 12 runners-up with a certificate.

Vanessa was announced as the winner and received a £20 voucher. In second place was Katie Baker who received a £15 voucher and in third place receiving a £10 voucher was Cerys James.

Sue Evans, Chair of Cefn Fforest Community Centre and Committee Member also presented the school with a £50 cheque for all of their efforts.

Why is there no picture of the winning design, very poor to run a story like this without an actual picture to go with it.

It too would like to see a picture. However, bearing in mind it is draw by someone under the age of 11 using colouring pencils it will certainly looks very amateurish and childish. The logo will be several worlds away from the swanky, sleek, professional logos big corporations have.
