Changes made to library access across Caerphilly County Borough

News | | Published: 17:00, Monday August 24th, 2015.

Changes are being made to how library services will be accessed across Caerphilly County Borough.

From September 1, all library users must present their library card in order to use library services.

Users must take their library card with them if they want to borrow, reserve or renew items, use ICT services, pay any charges or to access their account at the library or at home.

Caerphilly Library Service will be issuing replacement cards to all library users who require them, free of charge until September 1.

Once a new card has been ordered, any previous library cards will become invalid.

Cllr Rhianon Passmore, Cabinet Member for Education and Lifelong Learning, said: “The changes to Caerphilly Library Service which are due to go ahead from September 1 will enable libraries to improve the quality of service delivered.

“The introduction of a digitalised system will also allow service users to have their requests dealt with efficiently.”

    Sounds fair, it’s not difficult.
