A nursery which is fundraising to help a little boy with a rare genetic disorder has so far raised more than £1,685.

One-year-old Finlay has been diagnosed with Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome, a disorder which causes overgrowth and affects one in 15,000 births.

Finlay attends Britannia Day Nursery, on Caerphilly Business Park, and nursery staff have been busy fundraising in his honour.

Ice hockey team the Cardiff Devils have donated a shirt signed by players to be raffled off and money raised by the nursery will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital which is carrying out research into Beckwith-Wiedemann.
