A 41-year-old motorist from Ystrad Mynach was killed in a car crash on Saturday, September 26.
The man was driving a silver Mitsubishi Lancer on the A468 between Rhiwderin and Lower Machen when it crashed.
Gwent Police said no other vehicles were involved and are appealing for witnesses. The crash happened at around 10.20pm.
The driver was taken to Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport and was later transferred to University Hospital of Wales Cardiff where he died. Specialist officers are supporting his family.
