Warning after Rhymney burglaries

Police are warning residents in Rhymney to be vigilant after a swathe of shed and garage break-ins.

Five break-ins were reported in a week, between September 20 and 28.

A shed was broken into overnight on September 19 to 20 on The Terrace and a yellow Karcher pressure washer, rotovator and a yellow and black Carrera bike were stolen.

A second shed break-in happened on The Terrace overnight between September 25 and 26. A Mountfield petrol lawnmower, Ryobi electric lawnmower and a hedge trimmer were stolen.

A garage was broken into on Middle Row, Butetown sometime between September 24 and 27. An orange Stihl chainsaw in a green tool bag, fishing equipment and a Shakespeare fishing rod in a green bag were stolen.

Two garden sheds at a property on Church Street, Rhymney were broken into overnight on September 27 to 28. A log cutter, hammer, chisel, garden strimmer and set of hedge trimmers were stolen.

Anyone with information can call Gwent Police on 101.
