The family of a Caerphilly man killed in a car crash in Monmouthshire have paid tribute to him.

Gavin Horne, 37, was hit by a car on the A4042 at Llanellen Bridge on Monday, October 12.

Mr Horne’s children, Kurtis and Megan Horne, said they loved their father in a tribute released by Gwent Police.

They said: “Dad we can’t believe that you are gone. We know we had our differences and everything but you’re still our dad and we love you. We are going to miss you. Uncle Peter and Nanny will look after you. RIP Dad love Kurtis and Megan xxxxx.”

Mr Horne’s fiancée Jane Good described him as her “soul mate”.

She said: “He had many friends who will miss him dearly and his great sense of humour but he was my wonderful Gavin, my soul mate.

“We’ve had three wonderful years together, he was always a loving fiancé to me and I loved him with all my heart. We had many happy times together. Will love and miss you always babe, Your beloved Jane xx.”

Police are continuing to appeal for information about the collision. Witnesses can call Gwent Police on 101 quoting 144 12/10/15.
