A sports development officer from Sport Caerphilly has claimed silver while representing Wales at the European Touch Rugby Championship.
Rhiannon Wade helped Wales Women reach the final of the competition, which was held in Jersey between Thursday, July 7 and Sunday, July 10.
Wales competed against eight other teams within their pool: England, Belgium, Netherlands, Guernsey, France, Italy, Scotland and Germany, where Wales were victorious until being narrowly defeated by England in the final of the tournament, losing 4-3.
Rhiannon said: “I really enjoyed representing Wales Women out in Jersey. We were so unlucky to narrowly miss out in the final but I’m proud to be part of such a great squad and we’ll come out fighting in the next competition.”
Rhiannon has previously represented Wales Women at the 2015 World Cup in Australia, and during the European Championships in Swansea in 2014.
