Police appeal after Blackwood woman is left with serious injuries

Police are appealing for information after a Blackwood woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers were called to an address in the Blackwood area around around 4.15am on Saturday September 3 following reports of an incident which left a woman with serious injuries.

It is believed that the woman was stabbed, though police have refused to confirm the cause of the injuries.

The woman was taken to University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where her condition is described as stable.

A police spokesperson said an investigation was ongoing as to establish the events surrounding the incident.
