RSPCA Cymru are appealing for information after receiving reports of a decapitated heron in Fleur-de-Lys.
The animal charity was contacted by a member of public on Friday May 5, claiming to have seen the bird at the Twyn in FLeur-de-Lys town, but has since been unable to re-establish contact with the caller.
As a result, the body of the bird has not been collected, and an appeal for information has been launched.
RSPCA inspector Annie Simmonds said: “We’re concerned of reports about a decapitated heron in the Blackwood area, and would urge anyone with information to contact us.
“Our inspectorate appeal line can be reached on 0300 123 8018, and all calls are treated in confidence.”
