A Caerphilly choir will be stretching their vocal cords alongside members from the Royal School of Music after a planned welcome of an American boys choir was cancelled.
Caerphilly Community Chorus were scheduled to host the Fairfield County Day School Boys Choir all the way from America for a combined concert at St Martin’s Church in Caerphilly on Thursday June 22 at 7.30pm, but the Connecticut based group cancelled their trip as a result of the recent terror attacks in London.
The school choir had planned to tour the UK, and was said to be excited at the prospect of visiting Wales for the first time.
However, the concert will still go ahead as planned, with members from the Royal School of Music stepping in to perform alongside Caerphilly Community Chorus.
No tickets are required for the performance. There is a ‘pay what you will’ system which will aid choir funding.
Thats disgusting that they pulled out, anyone swear we are a third rate country with poor security. This is Britian maybe we should not travel to america because of all thr gun crime.
