More than 8,000 visitors took part in a weekend of sizzling summer fun throughout Blackwood town centre.

Visitors of all ages enjoyed a fun weekend on the urban beach, with amusements, street entertainment and a wide range of stalls selling delicious food and crafts lining the high street for families to enjoy.

There were also traditional seaside themed activities including a children’s funfair, trampolines and Punch and Judy shows.

The event also had music from Caerphilly-based social enterprise RecRock and exotic animal displays.
