A club has spoken of its pride after one of its gymnasts won gold at a national competition.
Crumlin-based Valleys Gymnastics Academy is celebrating after Bethany Paull was awarded three medals at the Special Olympics National Games last month.
The competition, which saw over 2,500 athletes with learning disabilities from across England, Scotland and Wales take part, was held in Sheffield and featured sports such as athletics, cycling, equestrian, judo, powerlifting and sailing.
Bethany, a former club captain at VGA, received gold medals in the bars and overall disciplines, silver medals in the vault and floor, and bronze in the beam.
She was also chosen by the judges to show her floor routine as a presentation event after the medal ceremony to the audience.
Bethany is coached by Shevel Hewitt, and both have done Valleys Gymnastics Academy proud.
