Pontllanfraith-based charity Disability Can Do urgently needs volunteer drivers to help launch its new Transport Support Service.
The charity, which provides welfare, advocacy and training services throughout Caerphilly County Borough, will shortly be offering a transport service.
The service will enable disabled and elderly people including their carers to travel to doctors, dentist and hospital appointments or simply visit their local shops.
The service will enable people to travel more easily to their destinations at an affordable cost.
The transport vehicle will be booked out to clients for the duration of their appointment to allow the driver to provide assistance if required.
Drivers will be able to give as many mornings or afternoons of their time to suit themselves, although two or more slots a month would be ideal.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer driver,or simply seeking further information, can call Sandra Burton on 01495 233555.
