Car crashes into chip shop in Ystrad Mynach

Emergency services were called to Ystrad Mynach tonight after a car crashed into a chip shop.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue said two fire crews were called to the Beech Tree Fish Bar on Bedwlwyn Road at around 6.50pm.

Gwent Police, posting on Twitter, said: “Police, South Wales Fire and Rescue & Welsh Ambulance are dealing with a road traffic collision at the top of Ystrad Mynach town.

“Please avoid the area as roads are currently closed.”
