The Caerphilly Challenge Series returns on Saturday, May 12, with the famous ‘Twmbarlwm Trek’.

Challengers are invited to take on a mammoth 20-mile route which is available to walk, jog or run. The strenuous self-led route will take challengers through spectacular woodland, farmland, hilltops and riverside. A limited number of spaces for this challenge as a led walk are also available.

A 15-mile route is also available as a self-led challenge and led walk across tough terrain.

The start and finish of this year’s challenge is Coleg Gwent’s Crosskeys campus.

For more information regarding the routes, where they go or how to book on, visit www.caerphillychallengeseries.co.uk.

The event has been organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Countryside and Landscape Service, with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in conjunction with main sponsor NikWax and partners; Let’s Walk Cymru, Caerphilly Adventure Group, Caerphilly Ramblers, Islwyn Ramblers and Coleg Gwent.
