Caerphilly Assembly Member Hefin David joined Lansbury Park residents for an open garden event on April 30.

Trevelyan Court resident group’s Philip Bryett organised the event to showcase improvements local residents had made to the area with the planting of wild flowers and trees.

Mr Bryett and his wife Wendy led discussion to get ideas for how small spaces can be transformed to encourage residents and partners to take ownership of the local environment.

The open garden event was also attended by Caerphilly’s 50 Plus Forum, Caerphilly Carers and the borough council.

Hefin David, AM, said: “The local community are keen to see improvements on the estate and I look forward to joining residents and councillors soon for a local walk around to identify issues we can try to tackle together. It was a really positive morning.”
