The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k is set to return on Sunday, May 20 with Kidney Wales announced as the charity partners for another year.
Last year more than 2,500 keen runners signed up to complete the race – now in its sixth year.
The 10km course will lead runners in and around Caerphilly town centre, passing local landmarks including the Tommy Cooper statue, as well as offering great views of Caerphilly Castle.
Also returning for 2018 is the 2k run, which gives younger runners the opportunity to experience the timed event at a shorter distance. Runners in the 2k race must be at least eight-years-old on the day of the race to participate.
Nic Clarke, Directory of Fundraising and Operations for Kidney Wales, said: “We are delighted to be Charity Partners of this year’s Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k.
“Thank you to those who are choosing to run the race in support of Kidney Wales, which will help us to achieve our mission of supporting and changing the lives of kidney patients in Wales.”
Cllr Nigel George, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Services, said: “I am thrilled that Kidney Wales is returning as Charity Partners for the Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k, as they do excellent work to fundraise for renal research, care and education.
“Good luck to all participants.”
Entry costs £20 for unaffiliated runners and £18 for affiliated runners and concessions for the 10k race, while the 2k race costs £6.50.
