Pupils from Blackwood Comprehensive School are on the up after 13 gymnasts had a successful British Trampolining Championships in Belfast.
With 13 gymnasts from Years 8 to 11, representing their school in the trampolining championships there were some notable successes.
Cai Edwards has become the British under 13s champion, along with the under 13s and under 19 teams winning the team categories.
Alex Brailey was runner up in the under-15s category, while in the under-15 team category the year ten were third.
Mr Villa, Head of Physical Education at Blackwood Comprehensive School said: “We are extremely proud of the effort shown by the pupils who produced the best results in the school’s history in the British Championships, with every pupil coming away with a medal.”
Cllr Philippa Marsden, Cabinet Member for Education and Achievement said: “Well done to pupils from Blackwood Comprehensive School for such excellent results and thank you for being such fantastic ambassadors for your school.”
