Half-term sports camps to be held in Caerphilly, Pontllanfraith, Newbridge and Risca

Caerphilly Sport and Leisure Services are providing a range of sporting opportunities for children aged seven to 12 during Whitsun half-term.

The friendly Sport Camps will give children the chance to take part in a variety of activities.

At Caerphilly Leisure Centre, Golf Camp will run from 9am until 12pm on Wednesday, May 30, and Netball Camp will run on Thursday, May 31, from 9am to 3pm.

Newbridge Leisure Centre will host Netball Camp on Wednesday, May 30, from 9am to 3pm.

At Pontllanfraith Leisure Centre, Netball Camp can be enjoyed on Tuesday, May 29, Football Camp on Wednesday, May 30, and Cricket Camp on Thursday, May 31.

All camps at Pontllanfraith Leisure Centre are from 9am until 3pm.

Risca Leisure Centre will host Football Camp on Tuesday, May 29, and Thursday, May 31, from 9am until 3pm. Hockey Camp will run from 9am until 12pm on Wednesday, May 29.

Visit the Y Gwyndy Campus in Caerphilly town on Tuesday, May 29 and Wednesday May 30, from 9am until 3pm for Football Camp or Tuesday, May 29 and Thursday, May 31 for Girls Rugby Camp from 9am to 12pm.

Full day camps cost £10.20 per child per day, half day camps cost £5.10.

Spaces are limited and parents are advised to pre-book and pay either over the phone or at the relevant leisure centre in order to secure their child’s place. Unfortunately, sessions at Y Gwyndy cannot be pre-booked and parents/children are asked to pay on arrival on the day.

    This shows how important our leisure centre are to the communities, and the fight against obesity and boredom.
