Kids can learn to code at libraries across Caerphilly County Borough

News | | Published: 10:41, Wednesday October 31st, 2018.

A number of libraries across Caerphilly County Borough are hosting free after-school clubs to introduce computer coding concepts to children aged between nine and 11 years.

Code Club offers children the opportunity to learn code, no matter how much experience they have using computers, in fun and engaging ways.

Each child will work their way through a range of step by step Code Club projects learning how to code using languages like Scratch, Python and HTML. Children get to program their own interactive stories, games and animations. As they become more experienced they often choose to develop, and program, their very own projects.

The library service has a wide range of hardware and equipment available for children to use.
