Tickets are available from the bar at Caerphilly Conservative Club and cost £5.

Organiser of the event, Pete McCarthy, said: “We are aiming to raise more than £1000 for charity and anyone is welcome to come along.

“We are running the event because one of the members of our club has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.”

Meanwhile, the club will be hosting another charity event on Saturday, March 16 during the Six Nations rugby matches, including Wales v Ireland.

A competition will be run on the day with the winner winning their own height in beer or lager.

The event will also see Caerphilly resident Ashley Edwards, 27, dye his beard red to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Mr McCarthy told Caerphilly Observer: “One of the reasons why we are running this event is because we’re urging people to get themselves checked out.”
