Two people have been injured following a car crash on Thomas Street in Abertridwr.
South Wales Fire and Rescue were called to the scene just after 12.30pm on Friday, February 22.
One injured person was able to remove themselves from their car, while the other was removed by emergency services after they removed the roof of a car.
The fire service confirmed that the two were seen to by paramedics.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call today at 12.30pm to a road traffic collision on Thomas Street, Abertridwr. We responded with an emergency ambulance and one female patient was transported to The Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.”
