Gwent Police have launched an appeal after a man was assaulted on Blackwood High Street.
The incident happened at around 11.10pm on Saturday, February 23 – the night of the Wales v England Six Nations rugby match.
The victim was walking with a female friend near the Texaco garage when he was approached and attacked by two men.
He was punched and kicked and needed hospital treatment for a cut to his head and eye.
