Bedwellty Agricultural Show returns

The Bedwellty Show will be celebrating its 142nd edition this month

The Bedwellty Show returns to Llancaiach Fawr, near Nelson, on Saturday, August 17.

The family-friendly event will have livestock, horse exhibits, vintage car and tractor displays, trade stands and craft stalls.

This year will mark the 142nd edition of the show, which first moved to Llancaiach Fawr in 2016.

The show formally began in the 1870s, but records show that similar events had been held in and around Blackwood for many years before.

Adult tickets cost £7, while concessions and children under 16 can enter for £5.

Children under the age of five can enter the event free of charge.

A family ticket,which includes up to two adults and three children costs £20.

Free car parking will be available.
