A new Costa Coffee drive-thru will be opening in Caerphilly town in early October, the company has confirmed.
The coffee chain, which was bought by Coca-Cola for £3.9bn earlier this year, has been busy converting the old Pizza Hut restaurant on Gallagher Retail Park, which has been empty since 2016.
A Costa Coffee spokesperson said: “We’re excited to confirm the opening of a brand new Costa Coffee drive-thru on Gallagher Retail Park in Caerphilly, South Wales – opening its doors at the beginning of October 2019.
“We look forward to serving our signature great quality handcrafted coffees and to being an active part of the local community.”
Caerphilly County Borough Council’s planning committee granted the coffee chain planning permission in February this year.
The building, which was hit by a deliberate fire in 2017, has been partially demolished as part of a revamp ready for Costa to move in.
There had been previous interest in the former restaurant building by rival coffee chain Tim Hortons.
