Aber Valley Arts Festival is set for its 20th edition.
The festival began as a one-off event to mark the millennium in October 2000, but has run every year since.
The event is delivered by community group Undercurrents.
The theme of this year’s festival, which will run from Sunday, October 13 to Saturday, October 19, is ‘discovery’.
Artwork and photography entries will be judged and displayed at the Nazareth Community Centre in Abertridwr.
Entries for the competition must be dropped off at the community centre between 12pm and 7pm on Thursday, October 10.
As well as the competition, there will be a number of other events held as part of the festival.
On Monday, October 14, a school choir concert will be held at Beulah Chapel from 1.30pm.
The following day, there will be a creative writing workshop at the Nazareth, while poet Jonathan Edwards will be at the centre on the Wednesday at 7.30pm.
The festival will culminate in an evening of music, also at the Nazareth, presented by Leighton Rafferty and Rob Marshall.
Tickets for the final evening will cost £6 or £4 for concessions.
