Open Art competition to take place in Caerphilly town centre

Amateur and professional artists are invited to present their artworks at the Caerphilly Open Art competition from Tuesday, November 5 to Saturday, November 9.

Around 120 artworks will be selected by a panel of judges to be displayed at the Open Art Winter Exhibition at Y Galeri in Caerphilly town centre throughout January.

The winning artist will stand to win a cash prize of £750, with £250 going to the runner up and £50 for the winner of the Visitor’s Choice Award.

Artworks should be presented at the submission stage on a memory stick or a disk, while photographs are also welcome.

The entry fee is £10 per artwork.

Full details and application forms are available from Y Galeri, which is on the ground floor of Caerphilly Visitors’ Centre.
