Police appeal after assault in Pontllanfraith

The incident happened near the factory entrance

Police have appealed for information about an assault that reportedly took place in Pontllanfraith.

The attack is said to have happened just off the B4251 road, near the entrance of the Switchgear factory on at around 3pm Friday, September 29.

The victim was a 53-year-old man from Caerphilly, who was later treated at hospital.

A 33-year-old man from Caerphilly was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police have urged anyone who may have seen the incident or have dashcam footage to get in touch.
