War dead remembered at services across Caerphilly County Borough

Residents across Caerphilly County Borough paid their respects on Remembrance Sunday to those who have died in conflict.

Services were held at cenotaphs and memorials in towns and villages with wreaths laid and prayers made.

In Caerphilly town, the annual parade took place through the town centre and down to the Cenotaph at the Twyn.

Local politicians, dignitaries and representatives from the Royal British Legion and other groups laid wreaths. The Last Post was played, followed by two minutes’ silence.

lovely photos pity that they are of just one place surely you could have had photos from cenotaphs and memorials in other towns and villages.

Thank you. We have very limited resources to work with – if we could send a photographer to every service then of course we would. If any readers would like to submit their pictures then please send them to news@caerphilly.observer
