A 57-year-old woman from Caerphilly has died following a car crash at Nantgarw this morning.
South Wales Police said the crash happened at around 10.20am at the junction of Heol Y Dderwen on the A468 Caerphilly Road and involved a single vehicle – a blue Seat.
The driver of the car was taken to University Hospital Wales, Cardiff, but police have confirmed she has died.
The road was closed in both directions but is now open.
In a statement, South Wales Police said it was appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage of the crash to come forward.
