Appeal after assault in Blackwood and disorder in Rhymney

An appeal has been launched by Gwent Police into disorder in Rhymney and an assault in Blackwood.

The two incidents, which police believe are connected, happened on Tuesday, January 14.

The Rhymney incident happened at an address at Heol Aneurin Bevan at around 6pm, while the Blackwood assault happened at around 10pm at an address at Apollo Way.

A 52-year-old man from Oakdale has been arrested on suspicion of assault in relation to the incident at Apollo Way.

Anyone with information can contact Gwent Police on 101, quoting reference 2000016269 for Rhymney, or 2000016470 for Blackwood.
