Appeal after 13-year-old girl hit by car

The girl was run over on the B4254 road near the Bumble Bee pub

Gwent Police has launched an appeal after a 13-year-old girl was hit by a car in Blackwood.

The incident happened on the B4254 near the Bumble Bee pub at around 7pm on Saturday, January 11.

The girl received minor injuries to her neck and legs after being hit by a black Ford Focus.

The driver of the car did stop to check if the girl was okay, but police are looking to speak to the them as they may be able to help with enquiries.

The driver of the car is described as a white woman, believed to be around 30-years-old with blonde hair in a bob style.

Officers are also appealing for witnesses or anyone with information into the incident to call 101, quoting log 2000016309.
