
Six dogs are believed to have been stolen from sheds in Caerphilly County Borough since Sunday (July 26).
Three spaniels and one Jack Russell disappeared from a shed at a property on Bedwellty Road, Markham, sometime between 9.30pm on Sunday, July 26 and 7am on Monday, July 27.
Meanwhile, two spaniels vanished from a shed at a property in Pwllypant at around 1.15am on Tuesday, July 28.
Another incident happened in Newport on Tuesday morning, with six spaniels taken from an outdoor kennel.
Gwent Police officers are investigating the disappearances and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone with information can contact Gwent Police on 101, quoting reference 2000267861 for the Markham incident or 2000269142 for the Pwllypant incident.

Police have urged dog owners to take extra security measures to keep their dogs safe, including ensuring pets are micropchipped, and not leaving them alone in the street, or in cars.
Dog owners are also urged to make sure their property, kennels and garden is secure, and that dogs aren’t left alone in gardens for long periods of time.
