Major accident closes A468 between Penrhos and St Cenydd roundabouts

UPDATE: Motorcyclist hospitalised following crash on A468

A major accident has closed the A468 between the Penrhos and St Cenydd roundabouts.

Caerphilly Observer has contacted Gwent Police for more information. As soon as we have it we will let you know.

The accident is believed to have happened at around 9pm.

Road is closed between the Penrhos Roundabout and St Cenydd Roundabout in Caerphilly. Officers are dealing with a road traffic collision. Please find an alternative route.

It is the second major incident to affect the roads today.

At around 12pm the A469 road was closed from the Wingfield roundabout in Llanbradach heading towards Ystrad Mynach.

There was heavy traffic throughout Llanbradach as traffic was diverted through the village.
